Production checklist for an app your agent built
What an app needs once it is live: see and edit its users and data, money and AI costs, activity, errors, scheduled jobs and mail. What everydeck covers.

An app your agent built needs six things once real people use it: a way to manage users, a clear view of money and AI costs, a sense of what happens in the app, errors you understand, scheduled jobs you can trust, and mail that only interrupts you when it matters. everydeck covers these six; backups, hosting, your domain and checks from outside are yours to arrange.
The checklist
| Need | What to check | Covered by everydeck |
|---|---|---|
| Manage users | You can find a person, see how they sign in, suspend them, send a password link and delete or export their data | Yes, through the actions your app offers |
| See money | Revenue, paying customers and failed payments, counted only from payments you actually received | Yes, only from payments everydeck saw |
| See AI costs | What each flow and model costs you | Yes, with aiCall or wrapped OpenAI and Anthropic calls |
| Know what happens | Who signs up, who comes back, what is happening right now | Yes: Live and Growth |
| Understand errors | Errors in plain words, your code first, and a fix your agent can apply | Yes, with source maps and a fix prompt |
| Trust scheduled jobs | Every job reports each run, and a missing run alerts you | Yes: GitHub Actions, pg_cron, Render and Vercel cron |
| Mail that matters | Urgent things at once, the rest once a day | Yes: urgent right away, a summary at 8:00 |
| Backups | Your database is backed up and you have tried a restore | No |
| Hosting | Your app runs on a host with deploys you can roll back | No |
| Domain and TLS | Your domain renews and its certificate is valid | No |
| Uptime from outside | Something outside your app notices when it is down | No |
Manage users
Make sure you can answer a support mail without opening the database: who is this person, how did they sign up, what did they do. everydeck shows every person with their activity and payments, and lets you suspend access, send a password link or delete their data through the actions your app itself offers.
Money and AI costs
Count revenue only from payments you saw, not from plans someone was given. If your app calls an AI model, record each call with its flow, so a customer who costs more than they pay shows up before the invoice does.
Errors
A stack trace is not enough once you are not the one who wrote the code. Look for errors in plain words, grouped into cases, with the line in your code and a prompt your coding agent can act on.
Scheduled jobs
A nightly job that stops running fails silently. Have every run report a heartbeat and open a case when one does not arrive:
everydeck.heartbeat(86_400, { job: 'nightly_import' })
What everydeck does not do
everydeck does not back up your database, host your app, manage your domain or check from outside whether your app is reachable. Keep those with your host and your database provider.
